Looks like the cat's out of the bag on the upcoming RX-10.  As the title says:

* 1" sensor from RX-100II

* 28-200 (equiv) constant f/2.8 zoom

* $1299

This is certainly an interesting combination of specifications. You can't argue with Sony's boldness.

Putting price aside, the 1" sensor and constant aperture bright zoom could make for a great all-in-one travel camera if the size is manageable.

The price seems high in isolation (someone will be along soon to point out that you can buy a D5200 with two zooms for that price).  However, it's right on top of Nikon's pricing of the V2, and this has a much brighter lens than the Nikon zoom.

So, to my mind, it's going to come down to execution.  If the camera is small(ish), has good ergonomics, is snappy to use, and the lens delivers in the IQ department, it will be pretty desirable.
