Fuji HS50 Excessive Flaring

I've seen a number of people in this thread recommending the Fuji HS50. I own an HS50 and am amazed with many things about it. Like, it focuses nearly as fast and accurately as a DSLR. But something I've never read about it anywhere is its flaring problem, at least in mine. You will get excessive flaring from any exceptionally bright light source. I like to photograph sunrises and sunsets, but the flaring in the HS50 makes it almost useless for that purpose. Here's an example...
