All those sensor images look the same to me, as with people it's what's on the inside that counts. There is a history of Pentax using Sony sensors from the 12Mp and 16Mp so guessed that it might have been the Sony sensor used when I saw the announcement of the K-3. I purchased the D3200 not long after it came out last year and the sensor performance does not disappoint and can get images up to ISO 2500 out of it. So given Pentax's ability to get good IQ and richness out of captured images it could be good and with also with this new AA filter technology maybe an FF Pentax/Ricoh maybe around the corner
