There is nothing crazy about it. Would you buy a car without test drive and inspection?

In all the decades I've been driving and buying cars I've NEVER test-driven the car I'm actually about to buy. The test driver is the model set aside by the dealer for everyone to tool around in.

In all the decades I've been buying cars, I've never bought a car I haven't test driven right before signing a contract. In fact, I suspect there must be a law about it here or maybe car sellers simply trying to avoid unnecessary liabilities. In any case they would force you to test drive a car you want to buy. The last time I went to look for a car for my daughter and tried a few of them, when I returned the next day to buy one of those I tried the day before they insisted we test drive the car again before signing the contract.
