BTW, would anyone like to speculate on the unique benefits of a mirrorless A-mount (not E-mount) design?

Not sure what unique benefits a mirrorless A-mount could have that wouldn't be equally possible in an E-mount design.  The cameras could essentially be identical, except for a different physical mount.

A theoretical unique benefit of a mirrorless A-mount, which would have room in the camera body in front of the sensor --- is either built-in camera filters, or a built-in lens dust cover.    Other than something like that, I don't see any benefits that would be unique to A-mount over E-mount.   IBIS may be a unique benefit in comparison to E-mount, though it's not unique to mirrorless -- as Sony A-mounts already have IBIS.

So what new unique benefits would a mirrorless A-mount have, that aren't already present in A-mount dSLTs, and aren't possible in E-mount cameras?  Hard to think of much.
