I see the real serious need for a tilting LCD. I just watched a few teaching videos -- both using Canon 5DmkIII's -- where they say things like: "Well, when you need to get a low angle shot you just lay down on the floor." Or: I stuck this 5" x 7" monitor atop my 5DmkIII so I can get better lower angle shots.". No, I'm not kidding. Really Canon guys? Really Nikon Guys? I would not get too smug about Nikon's D610 fiasco -- because neither Canon or Nikon has a Tilt LCD. Why not? It cannot be that difficult to affect -- as many cameras already have one.

To be fair, I suspect the lack of tilt screens on high end bodies is to ensure environment/weather sealing requirements are met. Not something that is necessarily a feature of lower end bodies.
