Sony's SSS indeed does incorporate "pitch" (vertical rotation) and "yaw" ( horizontal rotation) based on the gyroscope principles.

When incorporated in the hands the object being held with this principal enabled SSS "quiets" the movement of the sea in every and any direction at approximately the same time.

It is not possible to have an electronic gyroscope correct for any designated singular or multiple angular movement at the same time.

Therefore....the pitch and yaw WILL be incorporated at all and ANY movement when SSS is enabled.

Monopods, simply by a single anchoring point of rotation WILL " yaw". The SSS detects any movement and engages.

SSS should be enabled for handheld and ANY unstable anchoring point in ANY direction.
