Although the 5R and the 6 are basically the same camera internally, they did a slightly better job with the 6. For example, leaving the active selection feature of the Navi-screen disabled may have been a sloppy accident by someone as opposed to intentional. If this had been done intentionally, it would have not been so obscured...no one even picked up on that oversight until now.

'The Lotus Eater' comment back in March:

He doesn't mention that the 6 has Quick-Navi.

FWIW I said it a couple of times :

So you did. Back then, you already knew the NEX-6 already had it?

(think I mentioned it some months before but can't be bothered to check)

SAR:

"NEX-5T
The NEX-5T is using the same IMX080AQM-13 CMOS sensor as the 5R. But it has been slightly “improved”.  [....and left us hanging there....where is the evidence that the sensor was 'improved?']

ILC-3000
The ILC-3000 is using a new 20MP sensor-IMX156AQL-13 and it’s new."

[more sloppy work from SAR? I believe it's the sensor taken from the SLT A-58.]

And somebody was asking for it as far back as 2010:

The NEX-6 introduced the Quick-Navi  later in 2012. (I forget the NEX6 name for it.)

Cheers
