Panorama

Been using my NEX 6 for almost 2 weeks, and I was really happy with it, and enjoyed using Panorama mode. But the last 2 days, it wouldn't pan. I set it for panorama, the arrows came on the screen, I moved the camera in the direction of the arrows, and then after a brief wait, I received a message that the panorama did not take, and I needed to move the camera in the direction of the arrow. But that's what I did. Did it again - same message.

Is there some reason why it WON'T do panorama, but not tell me why? Maybe it doesn't work in RAW?

And as i posted elsewhere, I'm frustrated at not being able to use my Canon lenses because they will not connect to the Metabones adapter.
