The R2000 is a fine printer, but is not the best choice if B&W printing is a high priority.

Because of the modern dye inks, the Pro-100 will often give the best quality prints on gloss, semi-gloss and luster papers. The prints should be stable for decades if displayed under UV-absorbing glass or a protective coating. The others use pigment ink that will also benefit from UV protection but they aren’t as sensitive as dye prints.

If you plan to sell prints as art, the buying public usually expects pigment prints.

I have personal experience with four Pro-100s, and none of them makes dark prints.
