There is an interesting post on the Science forum, showing that the ISO settings in the Merrill cameras are simply a tag in the raw file, the data being unchanged as you change ISO.

So one may as well shoot at ISO 100 all the time. The ISO just gives a different initial setting in SPP. It is like shooting Tri-X film all the time but planning for different developing times depending on conditions.

This is different from the behaviour of my Sony NEX 5N, where the ISO setting shifts the raw data at ISO 100 to 200, then leaves it unchanged (like the Sigma) from 200 to 1600, then shifts again at each step above 1600.
