  3. Nikon DX 55-300mm lens (1:4.5-5.6G) ED

I find the 3rd lens hard to work with. I need an F-stop of 2.5

with the exception of the sigma 18-35mm f/1.8, all zoom lenses made to fit your camera will only allow a maximum aperture of f/2.8.

if you need a wider aperture than f/2.8, you would need a fixed focal length lens like the 135mm f/2 (~$1400) or the 200mm f/2 (~$6000).  you will not be able to zoom with these lenses.

if you need 300mm or more AND f/2.8, you would be limited to very expensive and large lenses like the 300mm f/2.8 ($6000) or the 400mm f/2.8 (~$10000) or the sigma 200-500mm f/2.8 (~$26000).

consider renting a lens before buying, especially such specific lenses like the long telephotos ... you could rent the 200mm f/2 for $200 for 5 days ... or the 400mm f/2.8 for $300 for 5 days ... see if you like the weight and/or performance and then maybe consider selling property or family to buy one ...

hope this helps ...
