The Tokina 12-24mm f4.0 is the only zoom I own - or intend on owning.

I considered getting the 11-16mm f2.8 to gain the extra stop of light, but after trying it - I just didn't want to give up the very useful 17-24mm.  This additional range makes the lens a MUCH more useful go-to lens - UWA to WN.

Without the additional WN range ... I'd rather have a UWA prime - of equally limited - UWA only - usefulness.

Cheers.

You are right, i do love the extra range and the slight loss of iq compared to the 11-16 is only marginal!

Cheers
