K-5II vs D800 vs 5D Mark III low light AF
Sep 19, 2013

I have the K-5II and simply love that I can now focus in extreme low light (it isn't perfect, but I can get "some" sellable photos now where the K-7 and K-5 failed miserably).

The K-5II is rated at -3EV and the D800 at -2EV. I can't find what the 5DIII is rated at.

I'm at a point where I feel I've maxed out the K-5II in many ways. I need more megapixels and I need to have at least the same AF capabilities in low light.

Anyone who has both the D800 (or 5DIII) and the K-5II that could chip in, and tell me if there's a perceived difference between -3 and -2 EV?
