Why not? Businesses set their prices based on how much people and individual markets are willing to pay. It's naive and ridiculous to expect prices to be the same everywhere.

I was told by an Adobe employee that the large difference in price between the US and the UK is because of extra costs to them to sell it here.

What extra costs? Ok, i understand they want a little more for the localized version BUT even the standard American version IS more expensive over here!

The cost of running centres here. Mostly in Ireland for the UK, but all over Europe.

So, we can conclude that the centres in the usa run cheaper then in the EU!
