Will the G lenses significantly depreciate when Nikon moves to E FL lenses?

With the release of the 800mm f5.6E FL, I am worried about buying more G lenses, as the D lenses only lived for around 8-12 years, and the G lenses are almost 7 years old. Will the G lenses significantly depreciate when Nikon moves to E FL lenses?

a) Yes. Just look at the prices of the D lenses nowadays. They are now significantly cheaper, except that only very few D lenses (such like the 28mm f1.4 D) still retain value.

b) No. E FL lenses (or E lenses, if fluorite is only used in telephoto lenses) are not compatible with the old film camera bodies (due to the electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism), so the old skool photographers will prefer the G lenses.
