Still waiting for evidence....

I provided a reasonable explanation and a photo from the X-Pro1 tear down. There are plenty of trustworthy sources (Rico P. and others) that provide solid information. If you are completely closed minded, then I doubt any information will be enough evidence for you. Why do you have a problem with this anyway; the Sony 16MP is oft lauded as one of the best APS-C sensors. I think Fuji made a fine choice selecting this sensor to modify with their unique CFA technology. Do you have any evidence to the contrary? Images? Theories about Fuji sensor elves?

Well, there have been discussions and arguments, on this forum, for a couple of years about who makes Fuji sensors.

Back in January 2012 a guy named "rattymouse" started a thread that went on for quite awhile and nobody had a definitive answer.

Some said Fuji, some said Sony and others said Toshiba. The thread finally turned into a discussion about Apple computers because no one had any idea what they were talking about.

Maybe Fuji doesn't make their own sensors; I'm no technical genius and have only read opinions for other non-technical geniuses. (I swear I've read, from a reliable source, that Fuji does make their own sensors but I can't find it right now).

However, I am 99.999% sure the X-Trans sensor is not the same sensor that's in the NEX 6.
