Its really not that much bigger than the EM5. The bigger grip is actually not protruding forward as much as most MFT lenses.

But its ergonomics are a little more DSLR like, with the big grip, which is nice. And its already kind of a bigger body style, and may appeal to a different group of people. What's wrong with that? Its just not the camera for you.

And still, the EM1 ultimately looks more like shrunk down DSLR, and has some mild curving on many parts of the body as well as the big grip which are DSLR styling, while still being much smaller than a DSLR.

Look at Sony going big with an E-mount in the A3000. Aiming for those people who associate DSLR form with quality, people who like bodies that look like DSLRs because they look more "professional".

The more variety available in MFT, the more different varieties of people you appeal to.
