Not really, this is a step in the right direction, the pressure France and the US have put on Assad has forced Russia to come out of the locked closet. If Assad prove to deceive as usual, then Putin will be the Turkey as it would prove that his friend has conned him big time, that will put him in a corner and his credibility would be shattered and the bombs will rain on Damascus without Putin being able to say boo. The onus is on Russia and Assad, this is going really well and don't forget all the Western leaders are of the same opinion and supporting that move, only the right wing nuts and warmongering dumb a$$ in the US who think otherwise.
