Free post warranty G1 repair!

My G1 suffered the blown-fuse. I was willing to pay the flat rate $150 plus shipping for the repair, but I didn't have to. They also rushed the whole thing so I'd have my camera back in time for a vacation.
I included a print out of a forum thread ( http://photography-on-the.net/forum/viewtopic.php?TopicID=5153&page=1 ) and asked about it on the phone.
I'm thrilled with the service and will definitely buy canon again. It's nice to see a huge corporation treat me like a valued customer.
