I am not a pixel peeper nor a zealot but do want good IQ. The super zooms produce good results at base iso and daylight if you don't zoom in but an A65 cropped to match a 1000+ superzoom field of view is actually much better IQ wise. At best a super zoom produces acceptable 8x10 prints which will satisfy the average user but not many on this forum. Add to that the slow focusing and ergonomics of the superzoom.
