With the horse and rider, the action was so fast that I didn't even try face detection. Given the fact that the rider was also wearing a helmet, I just didn't think the camera would have coped. You need to appreciate how fast they were moving! I chose instead to choose a fixed focus point and focussed in continuous mode with that. Perhaps I should have tried face detection just to see, but I made an educated guess!

Thanks for posting the samples. Would you be able to share some info on C-AF? Specifically, I was wondering if face-detection works effectively with continuous focus tracking of the horse and rider.
