X20 AWB issues

After two weeks, I'm not a fan of the X20's AWB feature. If often seems to be producing "cooler" or "bluer" scenes than reality or a Custom WB reading would give. I think it's seeing the scene as a lower colour temperature / warmer light, and then adding some blue to bring it back to neutral...but it's not needed. Does that make any sense? On the WB presets, I can see only two daylight settings - direct sun and shade - are there no cloudy skies in Japan?

I can play with the in-camera AWB settings, but I wondered if anyone had already done this, and whether I'm just getting into a can of worms and driving myself nuts!!? You might say just shoot RAW, which I do, but it's just another thing I have to adjust, that I'd rather the camera got right in the first place (most times at least)!
