Will Sony still be developing new Alpha mount cameras a year from now?
Sep 12, 2013

Based on what I'm reading from various sources I think that, although Sony may offer one or two more legacy alpha mount cameras early in 2014, the future beyond early 2014 will be entirely E mount. (Of course none of us know for sure and I certainly don't have insider information.)

Is that the perception of others here or do you think I am wrong? Tell me which of the options below most closely reflects your expectations of the Alpha mount future.

I think Sony will discontinue developing bodies with the Alpha mount in favor of developing E mount cameras that, with adapters, allow the use of Alpha, Canon and Nikon lenses.

I think Sony will discontinue developing bodies with the Alpha mount and I'm not sure what they will do.
