It was at an America's Cup race way back, and I had two near-identical all-in-one 35mm zoom cameras. One was set at full zoom, and the other at wide angle. Once the boats were in motion, it was quicker to change from wide to tele and back by switching cameras, rather than waste time zooming in and out with one.

Much later I used a bridge camera for long shots, and the pocket P&S for its HD720p video on the same occasion.

Now I use a 2-year old 24x zoom pocket P&S with a BSI CMOS for everything, and the other two are emergency backups in case I break the first.
