I would have liked to put the raw up here as well, but I cant insert a raw in the thread..

But, there is an obvious quality difference.  It's easier to get more out of a RAW like this which is seriously underexposed than from the out of camera jpg.

Go ahead - flames away, but you know - there is just more information in a RAW, and the jpg that the camera produces is a derivation with the information reduced.
