This is one of the better threads and observations that I totally agree with. But in addition to applyng to those with good cameras thinking of upgrading it opens up the possibility of basic level upgraders and newbies considering older but very good technology. And examples are legion! Recently on Ebay I saw a mint Canon 1DS MK II with minimum actuations on sale for £950 ($1400). You can also pick up the very great D90 for peanuts. In terms of picture quality both these examples will give you brilliant images and in the case of the D90 video too.

Personally, I have a D3s and 5D MK II and, as the poster suggested, will only look for lenses in the future. Excellent post!!!
