Landscape photography: Wide angle lenses and filters incompatible?
Sep 9, 2013

I am a little confused about wide angle lenses for landscape photography (see one of my other recent threads.) Most sources recommend wide angle lenses, polarizing filters, and neutral density filters as typical gear. Yet some lenses, like the Nikon 14-24 f/2.8 cannot use filters. Other lenses can use filters, but vignetting occurs with polarizers. Since I use polarizers and graduated neutral density filters 75% of the time for my shots, the purchase of a wide angle lens (like the Nikon 16-35 f/4) seems foolish. Any comments?
