Sad. A great American company. Call or write for information-you got it. Scanning negs for the transition to digital. Kodak has a format (forget the name now; ProPhoto?), dealers, special scanners, etc., but never made it work. The cameras were excellent value. Kind of like the Radio Shack of cameras. The formats, processor might be a generation behind, but the sensor, lens, color, image quality was quite good. I have the Z8612 IS-a wonderful camera for the price.
