I have an Epson V700 scanner and am very happy with it. I'm not sure what the V750 adds but I couldn't find anything to justify the higher price. The 700 came with a holder that will let me scan 12 mounted slides in a batch. I also scan prints or documents from time to time with good results. Mostly I got this one to scan a large collection of 3x4 and 4x5 b&w negatives from the 1950s and 60s, and for that it is very good, giving me files that can easily be used to make 20x30 inch or larger prints.

My only real complaint is that it isn't completely supported by SANE. I was able to get it working and can scan my large negatives in Linux but not at maximum resolution. Also, the slide holder only works under Windows (and probably Mac but I don't really know), which is annoying.
