Elinchrom D-Lite RX 4 "good enough" for casual portrait use?
Aug 28, 2013

I am considering adding a pair of studio strobes to my Canon 600EX-RT setup, primarily so that I can have modelling light while shooting indoor portraits (usually handheld).

I am wondering if anyone thinks the 1/800s flash duration of the D-Lites are "good enough", or is it advisable to go for models with faster flash duration?

(side note: I did some research to determine that this 1/800 speed is their T.5 speed, but the practical number comes closer to 1/200-1/300 range).
