A3000 + metabones speedboost = manual FF experience

Cheap NEX with focus peaking and EVF + metabones speedbooster (which is ironically more expensive than the camera itself)... and some cheap manual Rokinon f/1.4 lenses (16mm, 24mm, 35mm, 85mm) and some of the more affordable name brand FF lenses.

Hmm.

Old school manual focus with focus peaking for assistance and a good 20MP sensor that's ~97% of FF for DoF and framing. The camera looks like it has a decent grip which would help with the bigger lenses. And I guess the manual focus would make the potentially lethargic (compared to MFT) AF speed a moot (not mute) point.

Could be interesting.
