Dear EvtK,

I have not tried the SEL 50 yet, but I know a lot of 50mm (Olympus 45, Olympus 60, Canon 50 1.2/1.4/1.8, PanaLeica45,etc.)!

with the NEX system I shoot with the 60mm Sigma that covers almost the same focal lemgth. I love this lens and it could cost 300-400 Euro and Iwould buy it again. At 179 Euro thos lens is a true bargain and works for me troubleless. You do not have f1.8 but I do not use that aperture with focal lengths above 50mm anyway. I love to shoot my kids and 1.8 at 60mm is a difficult task. The lens is super sharp at any aperture and weighs nothing, comes with hood and bag

I would prefer OSS also for this lens but the lens and its price made it a must- have for me. I just try to have a min. shutter speed of 1/100 s !

looking at the first pics of the new 16-70 f4.0 zoom I will for sure sell the 16-50 and 16mm and remain with (body NEX6):

SEL35 1.8

Sigma 60

Sony 16-70

Sony 55-210

Let's wait for the reviews of production samples and save money;-)

Best regards,

Christian
