My poor legacy portrait lenses!
Aug 26, 2013

Tomorrow I have to shoot an (unpaid ) assignment and I thought it was best to have an autofocus portrait lens in my m4/3 arsenal, so I went for the lovely Olympus 45mm f/1.8. How small it is!

I own many prime legacy lenses in the 38-60-85mm range (Olympus Pen F: 38mm f/1.8, 38mm f/2.8 pancake; 40mm f/1.4; 42mm f/1.2; Nikon AI 50mm f/1.2, 55mm f/1.2, 58mm f/1.4 (yes, f/1.4, an old lens, not the Noct), plus Lensbabies, Nikon AFs, zooms and so on).

I could sell all that stuff and by more m4/3 lenses (that 7-14mm!), but I like quite a bit some of the glasses, if not all.

Do you think that once I wil be accustomed to the autofocus lens I will not make much use of the manual ones, or the large aperture, dreamy bokeh will grant me more hours of fun?

Ciao!
