Well said Pal, agree on that too..

Video in the 7D is in Auto mode unless you specifically choose manual and set your exposure accordingly. You also have to make sure your shutter speed matches your frame rate to reduce the rolling shutter effect and get proper video capture.

Agree on that too, but I'm referring the Lens itself. Whether is in Auto Mode, P-mode or in Manual Mode, the lens can not do Auto Focus. Video Mode for 7D is in Manual Focus only..

As others have mentioned, Video capture is not Picture capture.

Yeah.. +1..;-)

Also, with continuous recording, the sensor I think does heat up a bit and may get a little noisier when recording video but I am not certain of that.
