Just a thought... but what about the D7100 for wildlife instead of the D600?  Speaking as a fellow ex-Olympian, the D7100 will completely blow away what the E-5 can do, and it will put more pixels on target than a D600 would.

There are advantages to FX as well, but IMHO for wildlife, those advantages are mainly for people who can afford the big guns (400/2.8, 600/4, etc).  For me, I would rather have a DX camera with more pixels on my target.
