I don't believe that's the case. My D800 refurb did not have a zero shutter count, and from reading posts in other threads, others who have received refurbs over time have also reported a shutter count greater than zero.

Every one I have come across that was a genuine Nikon refurb has been at 0. Most recently, the D800 of a friend I mentor. He had me check it for him and it was at 7 clicks, which is exactly how many shots he took with it.

Was yours a Nikon refurb or done by a 3rd party?
