Lightweight compact to replace K5 for backpacking?

Ok, I'm not getting rid of my K5 as I absolutely love it.  Howevere when backpacking for 2 to 3 days in the middle of nowhere weight makes a difference and my K5 with the 18 - 135mm WR on it is fairly heavy at 2.9 lbs.  That may not seem like a lot but when you compare it to some compact that weigh half a pound it's huge.

Couple things I'm looking for:

  • Ability to fully control the camera in various modes: A, M, TV, etc
  • Bracketing for HDR capability
  • viewfinder would be nice but not a deal breaker.
  • Decent zoom range similar to my 18 - 135mm

A couple I've noticed that have decent review are the Canon G15, Nikon P7700 and Canon G1X. I'm wondering if Ricoh or Pentax have anything similar that offers the simplicity of these two, or any other camera suggestions my Pentax friend may have.  I do realize the Q's do have this capability but adding a lens with the range I'm looking for increases the weight significantly unless I'm missing something.

Thoughts or suggestions?
Scott
