If the promised FF NEX does appear, it should work well. But it will again be very expensive, as is the RX1.

People tend to forget that the RX1's price includes the very high quality Zeiss Sonnar 35mm f/2 full frame lens.  So when you consider that the RX1 is a full frame camera + a high quality full frame lens, the price is actually not far out of line with other full frame cameras with a comparable lens attached.  So I would expect the FF NEX body (without lens) to be somewhere in the price range of a FF DSLR.  Whether you still think that's "very expensive" depends on your priorities.  I think there will be plenty of photographers who will think that's a decent value, considering the decrease in body size compared to a large, bulky DSLR while still maintaining the FF sensor.

The FF NEX will still be a bargain compared to any Leica FF rangefinder.
