1) Freudian slip. " Focuses 4/3 lenses nearly as fast as m4/3 lenses " Hmmm the words nearly as fast begs the question as what ? the m4/3 kit lenses ?...

If this was coming from a 1022 user review, I'd have the same freudian slip as you.

But on the bright side - I do wonder if Engaget has ever reviewed any 4/3 lenses before, on a 4/3 camera. If anything, the m43 might be their baseline for comparison.

"Nearly as fast as m43 lenses" with big SWD lenses like the 14-35mm (the worst case scenario) is plenty good to me.

But in 4/3 language, "as fast as m43" translates to "More than good S-AF, usable C-AF still a dream"

Hey, who cares. My second E-5 arrived yesterday. To repeat a recent trend - was listed as "broken", and after several hundred good pictures in all possible situations - I'm still trying to figure out what the problem is :D. Shiny as a button, subzero shutter count. Could do worse for $340 bucks

I remember when the E-5 came out and many reported that the GH2 focuses slightly faster with the right lens.  With many micro4/3 lenses the elements are smaller and lighter and made to focus super fast.

Fingers crossed and the 4/3rds lenses focusing quickly.
