Definitely get the best GPU they offer.

As to an external optical drive, why not look at the Blu-Ray options out there? You won't have any drm issues from my experience.

As to ram, you should probably consider buying that from a third party, and save yourself considerably more money towards and external drive.

Also, there's no Retina display for the iMac, although it is a wonderful screen and very good for photography and video with its 2560x1440 resolution.


Thank you so much for your reply and suggestion, about the blu-ray it is an option that I didn't considered but I'm looking for some info.

The RAM I will buy a 8GB from Apple and I will upgrade buying a 36GB from Amazon.
