Thanks for sharing your efforts in AF-Fine-Adjustment (AF-FA).

Please allow for questions/remarks:

  1. Do you have access to a K-5 or K-5 II or is the difference in the manuals the only source of your statement in the subject line?
  2. A difference in the manuals doesn't prove that the cameras behave differently.
  3. In the EXIF data of each image file you find the AF-FA value which has been applied to the shot (at least this is true for the K-5 and K.5 II). This is an easy way to verify the AF-FA logic independent of manual wordings.
