The OP is indicating that he wants faster lenses for shooting in dim light around the house. Like most of us, he is not inclined to use flash unless necessary. He is also cautious about his spending, and the WR flashes cost about the same as the K-30 body he is considering. For those fill-flash occasions such as a water park, you do have several very inexpensive protective options to keep the flash dry. My solution for these situations is to shoot with an old non-dedicated flash that will normally withstand kid-type wet situations, but can be replaced for under $40 in the highly unlikely event that the flash shorts out.

Creative minds work around these occasional challenges. That's why 99% of all flashes are not WR. But for the special 1%...
