The wireless approach sounds like it depends on an internet connection, which may or may not be an issue.

An alternative is a stand-alone card reading disk drive.  I've used a Wolverine model for close to ten years now, with no problems. Some come with a color LCD display for viewing jpgs, but they cost significantly more than the more plain ones (like mine). Mine has slots for any card type, and pushing the button to start creates a new directory for that card and copies the contents from the card. Mine's rechargeable, but I have rarely used it on just battery power.
