Tamron SP 60mm F/2 Macro vs. Tamron 90mm for macro shots (Nikon D3100)

Hello, I was wondering which would be better for macro shots? I'll be taking primarily bugs and flowers with the lens. I've also heard that the 60mm is more suited for the DX type of cameras and that the 90mm (new and old) is better for the FX type of camera. Is this true?
In one of my other threads a user had said a 90mm is better for the macro shots, but I've heard that the 60mm is better for the Nikon D3100 and produce better and sharper images. Does anyone have both or one of them and can post pictures of comparison? Thanks!
