Re: Bought a 40mm 2.8 STM; want to try SL1 with it!

The compactness of my excellent, sharp 40mm 2.8 STM "pancake" resulteded in my indefinitely suspending consideration of a Fuji X or other MILC/ILC. The SL1 will likely lengthen that suspension.

I wear a badge and pistol, and, primarily with 7D cameras, shoot evidentiary images at night, which incorporates elements of portrait, macro, still life, landscape, architecture, PJ, and occasional action.

Yeah. I just bought the 40mm f2.8. It is the camera for me. I found the FL is perfect for me to snap pics of my kids. And the bright lens is good enough for indoor use coupled with great ISO performance of the SL1. Now looking for a belt bag to carry this little beauty around. Much sharper than the kit lens esp. in low light. I think that f2.0-2.8 is perfect for modern cameras like the SL1, except where bokeh is needed.
Cheers,
Nghia
