Anyone else amazed by DPXm highlight recovery?

Maybe it's just me. Or maybe people talk about it more than I realize; I'm not on here every day.

I've been a Sigma lurker for about 10 years and finally felt ready to spend the money on one. I've had my DP2m for about 10 months now and it constantly amazes me.

I learned quickly that the Foveon LOVES light. Most digital cameras do, but the Foveon sensor REALLY loves light. With a little higher exposure, the noise is decent (in RAW), and the colors are great and more accurate than with a darker exposure. ("Little higher exposure" does not mean the example posted below, this is extreme just to test the sensor).

Is anyone else amazed by the highlight recovery of this little sensor? I AM!

First is the original exposure:

Next is the RAW quickly adjusted in SPP and then converted to a JPEG:

I find it pretty remarkable...
