EP5 shutter shock problem?
Aug 1, 2013

Hi,

I was interested in buying an EP5, but now I'm confused, because some people in other forums reported shutter shock problems with the new EP5 and returned their cameras. I was wondering, because the IBIS solution should be much better than the old IS.

After reading some reviews and watching example shoots, I found many blurred photos. All these photos were shot with 1/100s - 1/400s. Other examples with >1/400s look much better.

Many pictures from Camera Labs looks terrible:

Some photos from Photography Blog show the same problem

Also in the "hands on" shots from DPreview I can find the shutter shock problem.

What is your experience? I know this problem from my old E-P1 and this was a "no go" for me. The IBIS of my sold E-M5 worked great.
