Dumb Sony NEX Viewfinder Question...
Jul 25, 2013

I'm mid-40's and have worn glasses for seeing more clearly in the distance for a decade now. Within the last couple of years, I've started to lose clarity in my vision for anything close, too - like 12" or less away from my eyes. When I use my NEX 5n and need to focus precisely, I use the screen on the back, yank my far-vision glasses down to look over the tops, and hold the camera far enough away from my aging eyes so that I can get a good, clear look at the screen.

I am intrigued by the prospect of using a viewfinder - either as an add-on for the 5n or on a 6 or 7 - but can't imagine being able to focus on anything only an inch from my eyeball. How does that work for those of us with aging eyes?
