I am wondering how many lenses or even if any can fully leverage 75mp? Will have a huge diminishing return.

many of Nikon's lenses clearly haven't run out of puff on a 24MP 1.5x sensor, which would be 54MP FF, and as you tell us, Canon's lenses are often sharper than Nikon's.

Photokina 2010 - Madison Photo newsletter:

"Canon also showed images taken with their new 120 Megapixel sensor. One image filled a wall and no trace of digital noise could be seen. It was absolutely amazing."

Wonder what lens they used for that!

Dan

And as I remember it was an APS-H sensor.

Yes, that pixel density would be over 195Mp FF. With that lens, 75Mp should be easy.
